A skribbl-style draw-and-guess game, built for work

skribbl.io is the default free draw-and-guess game on the internet, and that is exactly the problem at work. The public word list and open lobbies are tuned for a Discord server, not a Monday team meeting. This is the same one-person-draws, everyone-guesses mechanic with a private room and a word list a facilitator can actually open in front of the team.

What skribbl.io does well

skribbl.io is free, loads instantly, and runs in any browser with no account. The draw-and-guess loop is tight, the round timer keeps it moving, and a custom word list means you can in theory bend it toward a theme. As a five-minute time-killer it is hard to argue with, and millions of people reach for it for a reason.

Where workplace teams hit the wall

The default word pool is community-sourced and runs crude, so the first thing a careful facilitator does is build a custom list, which is busywork before every session. Public rooms mean a teammate can land in a lobby with strangers, and the free site carries ads that occasionally are not safe to project in a meeting. None of this is a dealbreaker for game night. All of it is friction when the audience is coworkers and the screen is shared.

What we built differently

Private rooms by default and a work-safe word list out of the box, so there is no custom list to assemble and no public lobby to land in. No ads, nothing to project that you did not choose. Same draw-against-the-clock, race-to-guess mechanic, with the parts that misbehave in front of coworkers taken out by design rather than by the facilitator's vigilance.

Common questions

Is this just skribbl.io with a login?
No. Speed Sketch shares the draw-and-guess mechanic, but rooms are private by default, the word list is curated for work, there are no ads, and participants don't sign up at all. Only the facilitator signs in.
Are the words work-safe?
Yes. The word list is written for office meetings, so there is no community word pool to filter and no custom list to assemble before each session.
Does it run in the browser with no install?
Yes. It opens in a browser tab next to your video call, the same as skribbl.io. Nothing to install, no extension, no admin approval.
Can people draw on a phone?
Yes. The canvas works on touch devices. A participant on a phone can draw and guess the same as someone on a laptop.
